About Impeach Northwest
Impeach Northwest is an information clearinghouse for individuals and groups that support the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. Our main goal is to persuade cities, counties, and the Oregon Legislature to support articles of impeachment, and to encourage members of the Congressional delegation in Oregon and Washington to place the US Constitution above partisan advantage and support impeachment.

The “Individuals for Justice” have been trying to get Representative Blumenauer to meet with them for the last six months. We have been waiting outside his office every
Thursday from high noon until about 2:00 PM for him to explain his refusal to honor his Oath of Office. The Constitution says you must impeach if crimes have been committed; our congressional representative refuses to hold Cheney/bush accountable for their many crimes against our laws. (see art. 2 sect 4)
On Thursday, February 28, we decided to hold a satirical press conference and the Earlman was well represented by the Lone Vet playing his part and answering all questions.

Submitted by joan on Sat, 02/16/2008 - 05:02.Saturday, February 16th, at 9:30 am we'll meet at the Novick campaign office at 1339 SE 8th, on the corner of SE Madison and 8th Ave. Madison is 1 block north of Hawthorne. We'll begin canvassing from there, working in teams. I hope you can join us.
Steve Novick is a democratic candidate running against Gordon Smith for the US Senate. Steve has made public his feeling that an impeachment investigation is appropriate in reviewing the conduct and policy of both President Bush and Vice President Cheney. For more information about his campaign, go to www.novickforsenate.org.
John Bradach Speaks About Impeachment at Lewis and Clark College of Law
On Wednesday, February 13th, John Bradach delivered a speech at the Lewis and Clark College of Law. The link is:
http://lawlib.lclark.edu/podcast/.
John is a Portland attorney and has worked for impeachment since the loss of a family member in the Iraq war in 2006.
John makes the point that there's still time and reason to push for impeachment proceedings.
BETRAYAL
During a speech in 1967, Rev. Martin Luther King used these words,
“A time comes when silence is betrayal.”
We have been betrayed not just by Rep. Blumenauer, (3rd) but by the entire Oregon Delegation. My voice in the House of Representatives is Rep. Blumenauer and I protest against his position on accountability/impeachment but it does include all the others.
Rep. Darlene Hooley, (5th) says it is up to the leadership to bring about impeachment. Wrong!
Rep. Peter DeFazio, (4th) says no crimes have been committed, Wrong!
Sen. Wyden, says it is up to the House to speak about impeachment, Wrong!
Rep. Brian Baird says we are winning the war in Iraq, Wrong!
Sen. Smith says we must end this madness but keeps supporting the President and just lies.
Rep. David Wu (1st) called for impeachment before he voted against it.
Rep. Greg Walden (2nd), just loves Cheney and bush.
We continue our fight with the Congress in Portland, Or.
Today Sara appeared before community court and asked for a two-week continuance due to the need to consult with her lawyer. I will appear next week and will request the same delay pending a decision of how to plea. We hope to have all three of us sit down with the Lawyers Guild and come up with a plan. We were in court, Sara had her red impeachment shirt on and I had the Constitution on a chain hanging from my neck. This caused many looks and some inquiries of why we were there this day. This is just the beginning of the process that may go for some time. I will keep you all informed of what and how we are doing.
We will be back at the Earlman’s office tomorrow at high noon to see if he has changed his mind on living up to his oath of office. We are going to have a rain free day, so come one come all to walk the walk and lots of laughing about the man who calls himself a progressive--Ha!
Rebooting What? lone vet report
Our Adventure Into Never-Never Land!
We arrived at our destination in front of the building, which was going to host Rebooting Democracy08 at 1:45 PM. We had been in contact with Ms. Caitlin Baggott, one of the members of the Bus Project and were given permission to hand out our leaflets outside the doors. When we made the turn into the parking lot there were about a dozen or so protesters along the street to greet the Peace Bus. Yes, we arrived with members of Chapter 72, to the cheers of our friends in a 30-foot bus with peace messages and impeachment signs all over the bus.

SANTA READS MESSAGE JUST BEFORE ARREST
ACTION IN PORTLAND, OREGON FOR IMPEACHMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Just got back from the big house, I’ve got to tell you I met some wonderful people today, met some assholes, but mostly, by far good and caring people.
By now, you should know that three of us decided to put more pressure on the “Earl-man.” We sat in chairs, one “Granny Rocker” and two others to make the point how pissed we are at the dems, for allowing this lunatic to continue his killing ways.
We have been patient, we have tried talking, yelling, embarrassing the Earl-man. Nothing has changed his mind to stop funding the occupation, or impeaching the monsters who have a death grip on our government.
We were arrested about 1400 (2:00 PM for you city slickers.)
